Soft Plastic Tube Baits for Bass

Tube baits are versatile soft plastics with a compact profile and natural movement that can imitate crawfish, gobies, baitfish and other forage. They are effective for largemouth and smallmouth bass around rock, docks, grass, points and open water.

How to Fish a Tube

  • Tube Jig or Jig Head: Fish along rock, gravel, points and deeper structure with a natural fall and bottom-contact presentation.
  • Texas Rig: Rig weedless for grass, wood, docks and other cover.
  • Dragging or Hopping: Work the bait slowly along the bottom when bass are feeding on crawfish or bottom-oriented forage.
  • Swimming: Use a steady retrieve when bass are following baitfish or holding off the bottom.

Choose tube color and weight based on water clarity, depth, cover and the forage bass are feeding on.
